Blog #171 Are You Listening to Your Inner Voice?
Let's talk about something we often ignore in the busy noise of life, our Inner Voice, our intuition! Have you ever known something deep down before you could explain it? It is your intuition or God's whisper, or your own inner guidance.
My Grandmother used to call it, “A Little Birdie Told Me!” when she was talking about her intuition, and my mother would say; “I Just Know!”
It is our built-in truth detector for everyone if they don’t override it; but often times making decisions based on fear or pressure or pleasing other people does not work. But the more we listen inward, the more peace and alignment we have in our outer world.
Your intuition won't scream to get your attention unless it needs you to stop to protect you from something dangerous, like a car running a stop sign about to hit you. It is a strong steady inward wise voice or feeling or insight. Like an Aha moment and when you learn to trust it, you unlock a whole new level of awareness, certainty and wisdom.
Challenge yourself this week to listen to your inner voice and turn off the noise, and turn up the truth.
Three ways to really tune into that inner voice:
1. Slow down, meditate and allow the whispers of wisdom to rise.
2. Write it out in a journal and the decisions you are facing what feels right deep down. Look at what is the solution? Not the problem!
3. Notice your body, what is it telling you? Often times it speaks through tension or ease. Trust what it is saying!
The quieter you become the more you can listen, trust and follow. Trust your inner wisdom to guide you in truth and in peace and in joy. Five minutes a day just sit quietly meditate, ask questions, listen, trust and follow your own guidance. Ask yourself what do I really need right now and let the answer come. “Start to allow yourself not to be afraid of what could go wrong and start being excited of what could go right!” Tony Robbins
We are all very intuitive and psychic and there's a little bit different between the two, but both are listening to our senses, listening to our inner voice and listening to the information we are getting. Recognizing your inner voice is such a gift.
Seeing the symbols and listening is all a part of becoming more certain with your beautiful gifts that you have been given and brought in to this life; taking time to meditate is just as important as brushing your teeth. Tuning into your God Self or that inner voice, that inner guidance just dedicating a few minutes every day to ponder the solutions to important decisions, to quietly turn within and know what your inner guidance is saying.
Trust yourself as Shakespeare's plays with countless words of wisdom, such as “To thine own self be true”.
You may find it easier to listen to other people's advice more than our own intuition, maybe it's because we're still developing our own certainty and trusting our own intuition. Nobody knows you better than you! Remind yourself daily that you are worthy to trust your inner wisdom. Solid acceptance, certainty and faith in your intuitive ability can guide you with better choices and completion of life goals.
We are a Divine Spirit in a body and one with the All. Everything is linked to the universe as we are all here on multiple levels, especially on a cosmic level as the Spirit that we all are, in our actions, words, and thoughts which attract positive results if that is what you are choosing. When we focus on the solution and it shows up, if you focus on the problem it just expands and usually gets worse.
Keep track, jotting down what you see, feel, the symbols or impressions you receive are very important.
Practice gratitude, having a positive attitude toward challenging negativity or negative vibrations can be transforming. What we focus on expands, showing gratitude gives you more gratitude and more things in your life to be grateful for.
Using different powerful tools such as Astrology, or The Book of Runes, or Tarot cards… they are all symbols that can be used to get clear or just validate what you are seeing and feeling. It's helpful to find a mentor or learn some powerful tools to have when working with energy and your own intuition.
Walking in nature or in your neighborhood or in the forest, or on the beach can be so healing on all levels. Listening to the elementals, creatures, plants, trees; all are communicating to us if we only listen. They all have a message!
When we go within and quiet our mind and ground off all the confusion, worry and doubts, we can hear that small voice within. Listen, trust and see the difference in your life and follow your own inner guidance.
Begin to listen more closely, and to make it a habit of tuning in, like brushing your teeth twice a day.
